OpenMFG Announces Integrated Financials for its ERP Suite

Free upgrade for all customers signed before April 11

NORFOLK, Va., March 19, 2003 - OpenMFG, the only company using open source software to bring full-featured enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications to small manufacturers, announces the pending arrival of OpenMFG ERP Suite Version 1.1, a fully integrated ERP solution which adds General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to the rich manufacturing and distribution functionality already available to OpenMFG customers. OpenMFG will release this fully integrated ERP system, including twelve core modules and a fully-customizable cross-platform report writer, in April 2003.

OpenMFG is currently selling the OpenMFG Standard Solution, a system targeting small manufacturers and distributors, including the following modules:

• Inventory Management
• Part Definition and Costing
• Work Order Management
• Master Scheduling and MRP
• Capacity Planning
• Purchase Order Management
• Sales Order Management
• Shipping and Receiving
• Sales Analysis

All OpenMFG products are built with robust "open source" components including the Linux operating system, the PostgreSQL database, and the Qt framework for C++. This underlying technology, invisible to the user, enables OpenMFG and its partners to deliver sophisticated ERP functionality at a very low total cost of ownership. It also enables a true multiplatform solution for individual workstations; the OpenMFG Client runs on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and various commercial Unix systems.

Pricing

Customers can choose either an annual site license, which includes unlimited support and all major and minor software upgrades (currently $15,000 for the Standard product for up to 15 users), or a traditional perpetual license of $2,000 per seat. OpenMFG is extending the Standard pricing for any firm that purchases the full OpenMFG ERP Suite through April 11.

Effective April 14, 2003, the OpenMFG ERP Suite will be priced as follows:

• Up to 15 users: $20,000 per year
• 16-30 users: $30,000 per year
• 30-50 users: $40,000 per year
• Over 50 users: Please call for a quote

Perpetual licenses will be priced at $2,500 per seat for users requiring financials, and will remain at $2,000 per seat for all other users.
